Founded by designer and entrepreneur Maria A. Staples, House of Staples brings together decades of hands-on experience in fashion, sewing, embroidery, beauty, image and business.
What began with a passion for creating has grown into a larger vision: a Detroit-rooted fashion house where craftsmanship, technology, personal expression and entrepreneurship come together under one name.
We design for the individual who wants to stand apart.

Maria A. Staples is the creative force behind House of Staples.
Her background crosses fashion design, sewing, professional embroidery, beauty, business, legal services and entrepreneurship — giving her a perspective that extends far beyond the garment itself.
Her approach begins with understanding the vision, then determining how design, craftsmanship and presentation can bring that vision to life.
For Maria, House of Staples is not simply about creating another clothing brand.
